Brunch with Santa Dec 11, 2011

What a fun day! Santa arrived in his Big Red Truck at 11am sharp, read a Christmas story to the children and listened patiently while they sat on his lap and told them their wish list. Junior Golf Day was a huge success as well! I got a visit from bride and groom Katie & Howie who will be celebrating their wedding at Alaqua October 20, 2012!

October 20th

Alaqua Bridal Vendor Open House!!!! So fun! We had 85 attendees that enjoyed complimentary cocktails and hors d'oeuvres plus tickets for fabulous raffle prizes! October 8th

October 8th we hosted the Ladewig Wedding for Marilyn and Erik. What a success!...despite the awful rain storm...everything worked out perfectly. I will post pics soon...in the meantime here is an email quote from the Mother of the Bride.

Dearest Delinah:  I want to say thank you so much for all you did to make my daughter's princess bride ceremony/reception come true.  It was truly a beautiful and most intimate wedding.  I cannot thank you enough for your coordination and guidance, in light of the atrocious weather.  The weather was a mere hiccup in the entire event.  I will send you professional pictures of the wedding.  I do have the bellydance recorded in my digital camera.  Again Alaqua Country Club should be very proud of you and everyone else there who worked so hard to make this wedding the success it was.

Hello Again!

The hectic party season is behind me...for the moment...and I am looking forward to 2012!!!! I have so many wonderful couples to work with this January and coming Spring...I can't wait! Since I have been so remiss with my blogging I think it is best to update you on all the highlights I have from October 2011 to December 2011. Plus I will update my calender for 2012. Retirement Party

The theme was a Marathon. The retiree is a long time marathon runner and has enjoyed a long career in business. Guests were greeted by a registration table with thier names and numbers to wear and champagne to sip on thier way into the club. The tables had large water bottles as centerpieces with the retirees picture and fun facts on them.

By the time all the guests arrived this table and the floor in front of it was full of presents!

 The ladies enjoyed themselves with a fun party game and signature bellinis. The Bride's sister outdid herelf with her attention to detail with everything she planned. All guests arrived with large hats...all of them creative and beautiful!

November & December 2011

November 5th, 12th, 13th and 19th...booked! We do have Saturday the 26th open. I will be recuperating from shopping on Black Friday myself that day. ;)

December 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 17th, 18th, 24th and 31st....booked!  We do still have the 4th, 9th, 11th, 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, 29th and 30th open for celebrations!

Where have I been?....

Forgive me for not blogging like I should. My September and now October have been so incredibly busy I haven't had time to blog. I have a ton to catch up on! Alaqua has had several events these last couple of months. I am eager to show you pictures and share fun details of the parties. There are many changes coming to Alaqua...all of them good! ;)

Great Meetings

My Friday and Saturday were busy at Alaqua this weekend. I had several meetings and tastings and they all went well. I am so blessed to be working with so many fabulous brides and grooms! I am looking forward to September the start of our bridal and special event season.

Hey there! At Alaqua Country Club we understand the how brides and grooms are wary of putting out large sum deposits towards their wedding day with the way the economy is right now. We see whats going on in the news and we hear the rumors floating around about area country clubs, restaurants and banquet facilities. I am proud to say that Alaqua Country Club is completely solid, financially and professionally. We aren't going anywhere! But just to insure your peace of mind....In the near future we will be bonding your deposits at ACC. Meaning you will never lose your deposits with us! If we should ever (God forbid!) go out of business or a natural disaster hits and destroys the clubhouse (again God forbid!) you will get your deposits back in full. Pretty cool huh? Dang Skippy!

New Chef!

I am so excited to announce that we have a fabulous new Executive/Banquet Chef Michelle Delfillipo! She came to us from Highland Manor. Her food is to die for and her personality is delicious! We are very happy to have her with us and on our team here at Alaqua. Our Brides are going to be thrilled with her work!

Summer Vacation!

My children and I have had a very eventful summer so far! We spent a long weekend with my husband Pat at the beach for Fathers Day weekend...so much fun! Then my children and I drove to Virginia to stay a week with amazing friends and then drove to NJ for 10 days to stay with another group of amazing friends and then drove back to FL with our new puppy Isabeau! We stopped along our long road trip and visited some interesting places. Ava Grace and Jax loved it! Summer vacation is almost over :( !
Since I have been back to work it has been non-stop and I love it! I am so looking forward to my Fall Wedding Season here at Alaqua and I cannot wait to show you tons of pictures! I know I have to blog everyday and I promise to work on it. For now I will post a bunch of updates! Tell your friends about us!

I had a fantastic meeting with one of my newest brides Amy Irons. She is getting married to fiance Ryan Lutz on Saturday, December 17th of this year! Very exciting as usual for me! The meeting went well and I got to meet her MOH Jessica who was very nice. The girls enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the club which was a nice way to end the evening. Happy Planning Amy!

 This post is long over due which is not surprising coming from me! ;) My lovely bride Marilyn booked Alaqua site unseen (from NYC) relying on pictures and her wonderful mother Miriams word. In April during Easter she was able to make a trip down to FL and we had our first meeting. She brought along her mother, father and friend Missy. We had a great meeting discussing details and taste testing cupcakes from Cupcake Crazy in Lake Mary. I was also able to have a favor sample ready from Cards by Kerri. We had a great lunch as well! I look forward to seeing her again in July and hopefully her fiance Erik can join us!

Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show was a hit!

Hello! Sorry I haven't posted pictures sooner! As most of you know I haven't been well with an upper-respitory infection so I have been resting. I need to get better to be able to visit with all of my lovely brides and grooms! We had a great time at the show and we met so many fantastic people.
